Keep Your Car cool This Summer
The past few months have been extra warm and while there have been occasional days of rain, the nice weather is expected to last for a while yet. Everyone loves the warm weather but when you’re driving there can be a certain point where the heat is just too much. In this blog we are going to give you our top tips for keeping your car extra cool this summer!
Parking in Shade
This first point may seem a little simple, but it can make all the difference. If you park in a spot that is in the sun, the interior of your car is going to get incredibly warm, to a point where it burns to touch your steering wheel. By finding a space in shade, you can completely avoid this!
If you can’t avoid your car being parked in direct sunlight, a great investment would be sun shades to cover your windows. These can reduce light from entering the inside of the car, meaning the temperature is kept slightly lower. This can help your car cool down quicker once the vehicle is started.
If you decide to take full advantage of the weather and enjoy a trip to the beach, there is a clever way of reducing the temperature in your car. If you have beach towels that are wet, put them on the seats and this will absorb the heat in your vehicle. Meanwhile, your towels will be able to use the heat to dry, so that you can look forward to your next day out!
While rolling down your windows may be a great way of enjoying a cool breeze, it’s not such a great idea when you are driving down the motorway and the wind gets that bit too much. This is why it’s important to always ensure your car’s air conditioning system is maintained and kept in good working order. Here at Off Rhodes garage, we can help you make sure your Air conditioning works well and if we find any issues, we will do everything we can to resolve them in no time!
